Extreme Couture

These beautiful editorial photographs by Mario Testino (in Vogue UK May 2007) reminded me how relevant extreme beauty is referenced in modern fashion. From Dior's huge bell-shaped dress to Givenchy's bolero with the lustrous sequins, from edgy styling with latex stockings to chrome bustiers and chockers, all created a sense of delicate, theatric elegance.
